"I work with clients in my private practice, who I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems, however, there are times in our lives when we need assistance.  I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives."

Veronica was trained in EMDR over 20 years ago and has been weaving EMDR and mindfulness techniques into her practice format. Veronica's previous counseling experience has made for a full spectrum of knowledge as she was a Certified Family Violence Intervention Provider and a State Certified Clinical Evaluator for substance abuse related treatment.  Veronica has conducted anger management and substance abuse treatment groups as well as the family violence intervention groups.  Veronica is also a National Board Certified Counselor.

Grace received her Masters in Social Work from Georgia State University. Grace utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Strengths-Based Perspective. She also pursues training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). "I support my  clients experiencing a variety of clinical challenges, such as depression, anxiety, and grief/loss including infant loss and loss related to older adult life changes."

In addition to private practice, her current work includes working in Hospice with terminally ill patients and their families. From these experiences, Grace has gained skills to create with clients a collaborative and authentic therapeutic relationship based on trust and authentic processing to explore with clients new opportunities for growth and learning.

THERAPY FOR MAINTAINING LIFE BALANCE BY DEFINING WELLNESS

Josh received his Masters in Social Work from New York University, and has received training in Psychoanalytic theory and technique at the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the NYCGS. Josh is currently a Core Candidate at the Emory University Psychoanalytic Institute. Josh is a licensed master social worker practicing under direction and supervision in the state of Georgia.

Josh works with individuals to build a collaborative relationship that is rich, trusting, and productive. His work with people often centers around feelings of anxiety, dissatisfaction with important relationships or career, confusing ways of behaving, and a lack of clarity about why we feel the way we do. Josh’s work encourages curiosity toward life’s experiences, where thoughts and patterns can be put into words.

“Psychotherapy is an art and a science. Thinking together with a therapist, we often find a better understanding of ourselves and our behavior, with a new sense of freedom and flexibility toward life that can be more strategic and less reactive, showing us a way of being and relating to others that is more accepting, creative, effective, and ultimately more fulfilling.”
